IMPORTANT NOTICE RE COVID-19 PROTOCOL FOR SWM Dear SWM Family Members, I trust that everyone is physically and mentally sound. We understand that this is a difficult time, full of uncertainty and anxiety. Take heart; God is still our Provider, Protector, Saviour, and Rescuer. Remember the Lord's promises and refuse to be affected by the widespread panic and fear mongering. SWM is committed to remaining fully engaged in ministry operations. We have resumed physical services and we alos broadcast live every Sunday at 11:30AM from the SpiritWise Movement Facebook page. In addition, we have SWM Prayer Meetings every Monday at 8:00PM, SWM Bible Study every Wednesday at 8:00PM. All meetings are undertaken with ZOOM online conferencing. Links to join these online meetings will be provided in our SpiritWise Whatsapp account. The current health crisis demands that we employ every means available to protect ourselves and the vulnerable against the spread of COVID-19. In spite of our unwavering confidence in God, let us also be wise in our conduct. Prepare reasonably, practice good hand-washing hygiene, don't touch your face, wear a mask to all Sunday services and adhere to social distancing guidelines. If you exhibit any suspicious symptoms or you have just returned from a trip abroad, take other's health into consideration and remain at home for the recommended self-isolation period. As precarious as the situation may be, as children of God we must view this as an opportunity to let God's light shine through us. The World community has had to face unification in the common struggle against this health crisis. We as ambassadors of a better world, one that is heavenly, must reflect our faith. It has to be apparent in our hearts and in our lives. We must do more than before. And what this means is, love your neighbour as yourselves. Look out for those in your community who may be experiencing hardship as a result of the financial ramifications of having to stock up on food and supplies. Saints, give out of your abundance and even give out of your need. Consider the vulnerable among us, ie. the elderly, single parents, those whose jobs have suddenly been affected, and those suffering from depression who may not be able to cope mentally. Become creative in showing your kindness! If you know someone is sick, leave a care package at their front door. Call one another and offer prayer and encouragement. If you are forced to practice self-isolation, use technological mediums to stay in touch with your loved ones. If you are off work, use this time wisely. Engage in worship and study like never before! This will strengthen your spirit and help you endure until this passes. Above all else, refuse to be afraid. Let the Holy Spirit be your comforter and the Word be your guide: Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. Proverbs 3:25 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. Psalm 91:9-10 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. - Luke 9:1 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. – Deuteronomy 31:6 I am praying for each and every one of you, as usual. You are covered by the blood of Jesus! Sincerely, Pastor Gene Grant ___________________________________________ |
